Change of Heart Series
The Heart Needs
Book One
Axel Owen is LA's most eligible bachelor and he's living the high life. He's stinking rich, and it's self-made so he has every reason to celebrate and enjoy the life he's created for himself. Work, drink, sex. Repeat.
But what goes up must come down, and when Axel receives the doctor's diagnose of Congenital Heart Failure he's in shock. How? Why? He realizes that if he doesn't stop and think about where he's headed with his choices, he's not going to be headed anywhere. Period.
Except as far as Axel's concerned, he's invincible.
In the meantime, Robyn and Malcolm are on a path of their own. They're happily married, each working hard at their careers. Robyn shapes young minds and Malcolm protects the streets of Atlanta.
Being so busy puts their marriage under pressure and sometimes it feels like they're never truly going to be able to enjoy their happily ever after. Still Robyn is willing to do anything to fight for what they have, and Malcolm is right there with her.
When they said I do, they really did.
Each time Malcolm is called away on an emergency, Robyn is terrified that this time, the one thing she's always feared will come true. She's waiting for the dreaded phone call that will destroy everything. How many times has she told herself it's just paranoia, that everything will be alright?
And then the phone rings.
The Heart Wants
Book Two
Robyn is just starting to figure out how to continue without Malcolm. It's a constant uphill battle and she often feels like she just wants to give up. But she knows that Malcolm would not have approved, and with her mom and Sophie's help, she keeps going.
Axel receives a second shot at life and he intends to make the most of it. It's a miracle he got a heart just in time. He's trying to do everything to live life to the fullest. But he still feels empty, and doesn't know what to do.
When Axel finds out whose heart is in his chest, he flies across the country to Atlanta, Georgia, to find the family of the man whose given him a second chance.
He doesn't expect to find someone like Robyn, though.
And Robyn doesn't expected Axel to arrive on her doorstep looking like Prince Charming himself.
Can it be that maybe—just maybe—there is healing to be found in each other?
The Heart Knows
Book Three
Robyn hasn't spoken to Axel in weeks. She has no idea what she feels for him and she is terrified of what's going on in her head and her heart. Malcolm's death is still so fresh and she doesn't know how to feel about moving on from him.
But she misses Axel.
Axel doesn't know what to do. So he falls back into his old ways, drinking to try to forget about her and the emptiness that leaves his heart hurting.
He doesn't want to live without her.
Will Robyn be able to give her heart to him?
His heart wants nothing more.
